A home inspection is an opinion of the present condition and safety of the property based on a visual inspection of the readily accessible components of the building. We, Archway Home Inspections, endeavor to identify all evident major repairs and as many minor items as are possible in the time and inspection conditions available based on a visual inspection. We provide our best guidance and advice on the expected costs for any major remediation.
Our inspectors are insured and bonded. We require our inspectors to meet annual continuing education requirements essential to maintain high professional standards and current information on methods and materials. We comply with the code of ethics and standards of practice recommended by the British Columbia Institute of Property Inspectors and ASTTBC.
At the outset of an inspection, our Home Inspection Contract is reviewed and signed with the client. All excluded items are clearly identified at the outset. Payment is expected at the completion of the inspection and delivery of the oral and written report to the client.
Our home inspectors cover following areas in the lower Mainland: Vancouver, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, Surrey, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port moody and Delta. Inspectors are available seven days a week. Inspections can be booked for weekends and holidays if the inspectors are available. Depending on the size and age of the home, the typical inspection requires 3 to 4 hours to complete, document and brief the client.
